A esperança cristã não é otimismo. É uma certeza ancorada na ressurreição de Jesus Cristo. Pedro escreve para pessoas que vivem longe de casa, enfrentando pressão e incerteza, e aponta para algo que nenhuma circunstância pode destruir. “Bendito seja o Deus e Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo! Por sua grande misericórdia, ele nos fez nascer de novo para uma esperança viva.” (1 Pedro 1:3).
Part 1 — HOPE
Christian hope is not optimism. It is a certainty anchored in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Peter writes to people living far from home, facing pressure and uncertainty, and points them to something no circumstance can destroy. “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 1:3).
